WC Evans & Sons Ltd were appointed directly by Dulwich College, a long-standing and highly valued client, to remove an existing defective fire escape staircase that had reached the end of its usable lifespan. The project required the design, fabrication and installation of a new fully compliant fire escape staircase that would improve both safety and functionality while making better use of the available space. Due to the live educational environment, careful planning and programming of the works was essential throughout the project.

WC Evans & Sons Ltd designed and installed a new galvanised steel fire escape staircase featuring a completely revised layout to maximise the space available and improve overall accessibility and usability for the College.

Working closely with the client from the early stages, our team carefully coordinated the project to ensure all works were planned, scheduled and completed during the half term holiday period. This approach enabled disruption to the day-to-day running of the College and its usual activities to be kept to an absolute minimum.
